Many famous novels have been adapted into movies and TV series, sometimes several times. It's a more recent trend to turn money-making movies or TV series into books. What's your favorite adapted movie, or movie turning into book?

I seldom read book ,but I like book
I look through a book last year
the name is <the kite runner>,this novel by the author Khaled Hosseini
and was adapted into a film of the same name in 2007.
I think the book is better than moive

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, tells the story of Amir, a young boy from the Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul, who is haunted by the guilt of betraying his best friend Hassan, the son of his father's Hazara servant. The story is set against a backdrop of tumultuous events, from the fall of the monarchy in Afghanistan through the Soviet invasion, the mass exodus of refugees to Pakistan and the United States, and the rise of the Taliban regime.

I think all the styles: movie TV series books have their own advantages.For me, I am conviced that I prefer to see a movie than read books,because I hate reading too many pages.But books have their own merits,for example,when you read a book,you find a detail very interesting,you can imagine it,but if you see a movie or watch TV,you will be deprived of such imagination.So,which way you like is absolutely up to your decision.

I think, because squeezing a book of some hundrets of pages into a movie that lasts only an hour or two, in the movie to a book there is most often a great loss of details, and sometimes the book is rewritten for making it convenient for a movie, so that the original differs greatly from the movie. Yet, it is sometimes interesting to see how the moviemakers interpret a book.

Actually i seldom read books now,i prefer to see movies.But if i think the movie is interesting,i will go to find the original book to read it again,after all,book is more detailed,and more specific.

I like Twilight.

I read the book first.After reading the first volume,I felt it should be adopted into a film.
Later I heard the news that the movie was in the making!!
I was excited!

Now it's already a movie~And I am reading the third book.
However,the movie hasn't been imported here yet.I am looking forward watching it!

I agree.
Once i saw a TV set series,and liked it very much.Then i went to the library of my college to find the original book.When i found it at last,i was so excited,so i read it all of the night.

Looking for a chance to change!

i 'd like to talk about Harry Potter too! i remember when the book one 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' came out, i spent day and night to read it and never felt tired. but when the movie come out,it's a little bit disappointing for me....because the magic world imagined in my mind is so much more fascinating than the movie presented.
but to be frank, now i prefer the movies,since it just takes you one hour or two,even u don't like it,u won't lost too much time,just like the fast food!!!

I have seen the movie <pride and prejudice> during the holiday of New Year on the net, It is indeed a nice works, The hostess is so beautiful and Mr Darcy is so cool , I like him so much.

I haven't read a lot of books based on movies, but the few that I have read haven't been as good as the movies. These books seem pointless as they are just like the movies. There's little to add once the story has been established. I can't think of any other reasons for why the publisher would do it except making money. I would't purchase book version of the movie as they offer nothing more than taken up shelf space.

In retrospect to my senior high school year, we watched the movie, the true story of Ah Q,after read part of the story in class. The movie is very as interesting as the book.

rencently ,i 'm very very interested in 《Jane Eyre》，both the book and the movie.I appreciate Jane's attitude of love,and i'm deeply fascinated by Mr Rochester.

Every one should have every one's viewpoint about this Topic. u know , not every one can read the original novel. and not every one's english level is at a Higher Level. if you wanna understand the Novel every well. you should read and think about the english words in the original Novel.
such .if every one read the original novel of "Prinson break", l am not sure there wil be a lot of people can understand the novel better than Tv Series.
For me l do prefer read the simple novel which easy understand, but l would like to watch some Movies or Tv series which have complicated plot..
by the way my favourte book is "Search for shanga-rila'
