Zbigniew Brzezinski, a naturalized foreigner from Poland who then became a U.S. official in 1977, gave an interview much later, during 1998, to a French magazine, Le Nouvel Observateur, during which he stated that it was he who created the Mujahideen of Afghanistan. Coming from Poland, Zbigniew Brzezinski is known to dislike Russia. Eventually, after some internal strife, it appears that the Mujahideen more or less changed their name and became known as the Taliban, and sometimes Al-Qaeda.
After the fateful events of September, 2001, Bush somehow determined that it was Osama bin Laden who did it. Bush also somehow determined and stated that Osama bin Laden was living in Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden was not an official within the de facto Afghan government. Instead, Osama bin Laden, who at one time visited the United States in 1978, was living in Afghanistan as a resident alien, otherwise a private citizen of Saudi Arabia. During September and October, 2001, the following events then transpired:
1. Bush demands that Mullah Omar, then the head of the de facto Afghan government, turn over Osama bin Laden to United States authorities.
2. Mullah Omar then asks Bush to provide a copy of the relevant Interpol file, and then he will turn over Osama bin Laden to the United States authorities. As an alternative, Mullah Omar also seriously considers putting Osama bin Laden on trial in Afghanistan.
3. Instead, Bush then suddenly invades and occupies Afghanistan.
Bush also somehow learns the nationalities of the nineteen guerrillas who took over those four airliners on that fateful day in September, 2001. It turns out that none of the nineteen guerrillas were from Iraq, and none of the nineteen guerrillas were from Afghanistan. Instead, a few of them were from the United Arab Emirates, which now has the tallest office building in the world, and most of the guerrillas were from Saudi Arabia.
Thus, with regard to both Iraq and Afghanistan, it appears that Washington and Brussels are completely wasting their time and taxpayers' money by occupying the wrong countries.
