China says no to the greens

Green groups will have to get used to the idea that the capitalist US isn’t their greatest enemy at all. In fact, the real spoiler in Copenhagen was the world’s biggest emitter:

Copenhagen, however, has demonstrated - to Western eyes - a less agreeable side to Chinese assertiveness.

Across the developed world, China’s brazen stonewalling of attempts to reach a legally binding treaty on climate change was greeted by a stunned, angry and almost visceral response. Australian officials, led by Kevin Rudd, were understood to be irate; US President Barack Obama - who claims his greatest strength is his cool temper - was reportedly stood up by Wen Jiabao and barged in on a meeting the Chinese Premier was holding with other leaders.

The British Climate Change Secretary, Ed Miliband, showed even less restraint, accusing China of ‘’hijacking’’ the summit.

What the world has witnessed on Copenhagan was a useless and few significant controversy over the profit rather than environment itself between the developed and developing countries. and the decision premier Wen took was to refuse to bargain with other fussy premiers. I would like to say we are not going to reject shouldering the responsibility on protection of the environment.  The rubber check and  the so-called alliance treaty make no sense., what we need is a certain action. So Chinese announced on the summit that  we promise to adjust the emission in terms of the condition of China . I exceedingly support that idea  .  Andrew Bolt's remarks is nonsense.

Deng Xiaoping: ''Hide our capacities and bide our time, be good at maintaining a low profile, and never claim leadership,''

Comment: I don´t mind if comrade Wen tanscended that wisdom in Copenhagen; because he did it on good grounds, and being better informed than comrade Deng - without arrogance, I think.
